Today marks the start of the Battle of Bannockburn. And no, I’m not shouting freedom and I’m not anti-English. It just so happens that this was an important battle in the history of my country.

That’s all I’m going to say on the matter. I’d just like to honour the men who fought to defend their country.

Luckily if we fast forward 700 years back to the present, all we have to do is tick the Yes box on the ballot paper.
